Chennai: Today, Congress has released its manifesto for the upcoming Puducherry assembly election. On April 6, votes are going to be cast for 30 seats. 

By the way, let us also inform you that earlier on Saturday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Giriraj Singh released the BJP manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections in Puducherry on Friday. In fact, there are a total of 33 seats in the Puducherry Assembly, out of which three are nominated and the remaining are directly contested. Total five out of 30 seats are reserved for scheduled caste candidates. Actually, Puducherry is a union territory that has an assembly.

There is an elected Chief Minister and a nominated Lt. Governor in the Union Territory. However, till February 22, V Narayanasamy was the 10th Chief Minister of Puducherry, who had to resign before the floor test.
