AstraZeneca, the company that provided vaccines to people worldwide during the coronavirus pandemic, has started the process of recalling its corona vaccine. The company has said that it is engaged in recalling its Vaxjaveria vaccine from across the world. It is noteworthy that the Covishield vaccine licensed by AstraZeneca was also given in India to protect against corona. The Covishield vaccine administered in India is also made on the same formula on which the Vaxjaveria vaccine is made. Covishield was manufactured in India by the Serum Institute of India, but no decision has been taken yet to withdraw the corona vaccine in India.

Reports say that AstraZeneca has claimed that an updated version of the vaccine is available, so the old stock of the vaccine has been recalled. Not only this, the company had decided to recall the vaccine Vaxzervaria on March 5 itself, but this order came into effect from May 7. This step of the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has come at a time when the company has recently admitted that in some cases, side effects of the Covid vaccine have also emerged and due to this, some people are suffering from Thrombosis Thrombocytopenia Syndrome. Symptoms have also been seen in which blood clots start forming in people.

Lawsuits filed against the company: If reports are to be believed, AstraZeneca company is facing many lawsuits regarding the Covid vaccine. It is alleged that many people have died after receiving the Covid vaccine. A complaint has also been filed against AstraZeneca by a person named Jamie Scott. Scott alleges that after taking the vaccine, there was a problem of blood clotting in his body and bleeding in the brain also started. This has damaged his brain. More than 50 such cases have been registered against the company. The company also admitted in written documents in the court that in some rare cases, side effects may be seen in the Covid vaccine.

Concerns raised in India too: AstraZeneca has decided to recall the Corona vaccine from Europe and other countries of the world. No such decision has been taken yet by the Serum Institute in India. In India too, concerns are being raised about Covishield and a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this and a hearing has been demanded on the safety concerns of the vaccine. The Supreme Court has also agreed to the hearing, but the date has not been decided yet.
