Khagaria: A shocking incident has come to light in Khagaria district of Bihar. Here a woman was gang-raped with a weapon. Then, when the incident came to light, there was a Panchayat. The case did not reach the police for three days under pressure. The panchayat imposed a fine of 75,000 rupees on the offenders and asked them to hush up the case. The victim lodged a complaint with the Maheshkhunt police station on Thursday seeking justice.
According to the information received, a 27-year-old Mahadalit woman from a village under Maheshkhunt police station area was gang-raped by two boys of the village with a weapon. According to the victim, late on the night of June 18, when she was sleeping at home, her husband had gone to work as a tent at the wedding. Due to this, two men of the village Raju and Manish raped her on the strength of a weapon. He also threatened to kill him by committing the incident.
According to the victim, a day after the incident, local public representatives along with the village head and sarpanches took the news about the incident. The panchayat panches said after giving the verdict on June 21. On June 21, a fine of 75 thousand rupees was imposed on the youths by the panches. He then refused to pay the fine. On this, the victim filed an application in the police station seeking justice. The criminals are absconding. Maheshkhunt SHO Neeraj Kumar said that the victim has applied. The matter is being investigated. Criminals will not be spared. Action will also be taken against the people of the Panchayat. Police are investigating the case. Ashok, the head representative of the panchayat, said that in the rape case, a panchayat was held, where a fine of Rs 50,000 was imposed on one of the culprits, while another was fined Rs 25,000, but the victim did not accept the decision.
