New Delhi: The mortal remains of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji have been brought to BJP Headquarters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Amit shah, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and other senior BJP leaders received the mortal remains of BJP stalwart at party headquarters.

Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, Nepal's Foreign Affairs Min PK Gyawal, Sri Lanka acting Foreign Min Lakshman Kiriella, Bangladesh Foreign Min Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali and Pak Law Min Ali Zafar will arrive in New Delhi today to pay tributes to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The huge crowd gathered at BJP Headquarters to witness the last darshan of the beloved political leader. The special envoys from Pakistan also will be present at funeral procession off Atal ji.

The 93-year-old BJP veteran took his last breath to met with his angles at 5:05 pm on Thursday at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Vajpayee ji was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 with severe problems of Urinary Tract Infection, low urine output, and chest congestion. He was on life support since Wednesday morning after his condition worsoned.

Vajpayee ji led the National Democratic Alliance government from 1998 to 2004. He was the first-ever member of the saffron party BJP to become India's Prime Minister. The Central and all state governments have declared a seven-day holiday following the state morning on demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee . (NT)
