Politics have started heating up again with regard to the special trains being run for workers trapped in lockdowns due to the spread of coronavirus in different states of India. Allegations on social media have now started between the Center and the Chhattisgarh government. It started with a tweet by Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. In this, Goyal has accused the government of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Bengal and Jharkhand of not allowing labour trains. On this, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel overturned the statement of Railway Minister Piyush Goyal as factless. Said that we are asking for 30 trains, so far only 14 have been allowed.

The Railways is ready to deliver workers to their homes by running 300 workers special trains every day, but I am sad that these trains are allowed by the governments of some states like West Bengal, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Not being given, due to which the workers have to suffer away from home.

Regarding the matter, CM Bhupesh Baghel, while retweeting Piyush Goyal, also said that the state government has already paid more than one crore rupees for these trains. Bhupesh Baghel termed Piyush Goyal's statement as baseless and factless. The same, earlier Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted that 'Railways are ready to deliver workers to their homes by running 300 workers special trains daily, but I am sad that the governments of some states like Bengal, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand are getting these trains. Due to which the workers have to suffer away from home. In response, Bhupesh Baghel has tweeted with a list of 14 trains.
