Violence begins in Bengal before elections, clashes between Suvendu Adhikari and TMC activists

Kolkata: Political violence has started in the state ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal. There is a clash between Suvendu Adhikari and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supporters in the state's East Midnapore. Suvendu Adhikari recently left TMC and joined BJP.

This case of political violence has come out from Midnapore, an area considered to be the fortress of Suvendu Adhikari. Even before this, the officer has spoken of attacks on himself. Recently, the Central Government has provided security of Z category to the Sub-Officer. During this time, he had told that for the last few days, about a dozen attacks were made on him. Former TMC leader Suvendu Adhikari has joined BJP during the rally to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in West Bengal. Suvendu was given a place in the rally next to Amit Shah on the stage. Along with Suvendu, nine MLAs of one party and one TMC MP also joined the BJP.

On the other hand, political and legal preparations have started for the assembly elections to be held in West Bengal. There is a discussion in the political circles that during the elections in the state political violence may erupt. In view of this apprehension, a petition has been filed in the apex court requesting that free and fair elections be ensured. The petition demanded that the security of the leaders of opposition parties in the state should also be ensured.
