Pradosh Vrat (Shukla) - Shukla Pradosh fast has been kept on 1 August. Pradosh fast is kept to get blessings of Lord Shiva.

Rakhi and Shravan Purnima - The festival of Shravan Purnima was on 3 August 2020. Shravan Purnima has special significance from the religious and astrological point of view.

Kajri Teej - This festival is on 6 August. Kajri Teej is celebrated on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhado month and it is also called Bhado Teej. This fast is celebrated by married and unmarried women. 

Sankashti Chaturthi - This day is on 7th August. It is said that Sankashti Chaturthi refers to the Chaturthi Tithi. Lord Ganesha is worshipped on this day.

Janmashtami - This is the festival of Krishna Janmotsav which is on 12 August. Janmashtami is said to be the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna.

Aja Ekadashi - This fast is on 15 August. Every year, this fast is observed on the Ekadashi of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha.

Independence Day - We know that Independence Day is celebrated every year on 15 August. On this day, India got independence from British rule.

Pradosh Vrat (Krishna) - Krishna Pradosh fast is on 16 August. This fast is observed to get the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Monthly Shivaratri - It is on 17 August. In fact, according to the Hindu calendar, each month celebrates the monthly Shivaratri on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha.

Bhadrapada Amavasya - It will be celebrated on August 19. It is said that it has its own special significance.

Hartalika Teej - This date is on 21 August this time. On this day, women and girls remain waterless throughout the day and get the blessing of staying lucky.

Ganesh Chaturthi - This festival is on Saturday 22 August this year.

Parlatini Ekadashi - This date is falling on July 29.
