New Delhi: India, the US, and Japan along with Australia will participate in the annual Malabar Naval Exercise to be held next month. The Australian Government issued a statement giving information about this. After 13 years, the navies of the four countries will practice together and this will be the first military-level partnership of the four-nation group 'Quad'.

Tension is at its peak in the relationship between India and China. Tension continues between the two forces on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. In such a situation, the joint war exercise of the Navy of India, America, Japan, and Australia is a message to China. The Malabar exercise in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea will be conducted in two phases. There will be an important meeting between the Defense and Foreign Ministers of India and the US on October 26 and 27.

With a view to further strengthening mutual relations, India and the United States are expected to sign the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA) for geostationary cooperation. BECA can be signed in two plus two meetings of Defense and Foreign Ministers of both countries to be held in New Delhi. Amid the Indo-China border dispute, India on Monday announced Australia's participation with the US and Japan in the upcoming Malabar Navy practice.
