NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on Friday (January 17) at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This venue will also host the much-awaited Auto Expo 2025, along with other prominent events such as the Tyre Show, Battery Show, Mobility Tech Expo, Steel Innovation Showcase, and India Cycle Show.
The Auto Expo Components Show 2025 is scheduled to take place at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka from January 18 to January 21. Meanwhile, Greater Noida's India Expo Centre & Mart will host the Bharat Construction Equipment Show and the Urban Mobility & Infrastructure Show (UMIS) from January 19 to January 22.
This marks the second edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, which is anticipated to feature over 100 launches, covering automobiles, components, and cutting-edge technologies.
The event will unite all key players in the mobility industry under one roof, including automobile manufacturers, parts suppliers, electronics producers, tyre and battery makers, automotive software developers, and material recyclers.
During the event, Prime Minister Modi addressed an audience of around 3,000 industry leaders after touring the exhibition’s pavilions.
The opening day of the expo saw several major launches. Maruti Suzuki introduced its first electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, marking a significant step towards electric mobility. Hyundai unveiled the e-Creta, revealing its price and expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Tata Motors showcased two remarkable models: the production-ready Sierra EV and Harrier EV, emphasizing innovation and sustainability in their designs.
Two-wheelers took spotlight as Hero MotoCorp introduced a range of new models, including the Xtreme 250, Xpulse 210, Zoom 160, and Zoom 125, designed to meet the diverse preferences of consumers. Meanwhile, Ola Electric, Ather, TVS, and Bajaj Auto unveiled their latest electric and flex-fuel offerings, showcasing innovation in sustainable mobility.
Among the notable launches, MG Motor launched the MG Cyberster, a sleek electric sports car, and the M9, a luxurious presidential limousine blending opulence with top-tier performance. Porsche captivated the audience with its Macan ICE GTS and the Macan BEV, highlighting the brand’s versatile approach to modern transportation.
Chinese automaker BYD made an impression with the Sealion 7, a high-performance electric SUV, while Vietnam’s VinFast marked its entry into the Indian market by showcasing a lineup of electric vehicles tailored specifically for local needs.
