One of the most awaited movies of the year, Avatar The Way of Water has finally hit the theatre screen. The movie has started its run in Indian theaters on the right note. The film opened to is being lauded for its exceptional VFX and is being highly hyped for its storytelling. The film is doing really well in India.

According to a Box office reports, “James Cameron’s film, which is the sequel to the 2009 film Avatar, opened at 40.50 crores at the box office making it the second-biggest  Hollywood movies of all time in India. Avatar 2 crossed the 100-crore mark within three days. So far the film collected 177 crores. As per early trends coming in, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water earned 13-14 Crores on Thursday. It is expected to pick up again over the weekend. The total collection would now stand around 190-191 crores in a seven-day theatrical run at the box office.

Meanwhile Ranveer Singh Cirkus’s will hit the theatre screen today. The film is  expected to rake in between Rs 10-12 crore at the Box Office, as per many trade reports, on its opening day, which will be way more than what the advance bookings have suggested.

Speaking of Avatar, "Avatar" is followed a paraplegic marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), who becomes an unlikely champion for the Na'vi, the 10-foot-tall and blue-skinned, sapient humanoids, in their fight for survival. The film featured Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver. Avengers: End Game released in 2019 had garnered collections of about ₹53.10 crore on the first day of its release, Spider-Man: No Way Home collected ₹32.67 crore at the box office on its first day of release in 2021. Meanwhile, Avengers: Infinity War, released in 2018, earned ₹31.30 crore on the first day of its release.
