Aviation scam accused Praful Patel will not appear before ED

New Delhi: Former Civil aviation minister and NCP leader Praful Patel will not be able to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today in connection with the airline seat allotment scam. According to news agency ANI, he has urged the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for any further date. According to ANI, NCP leader Praful Patel has said that he will not appear before the ED today due to pre-determined programmes. He has, therefore, requested the Enforcement Directorate to set up any further date for questioning.

According to ED, Deepak Talwar, with civil aviation officials and the minister, gave  dilwa to Air India's profit traffic rights, Rutte, seat sharing and timing Emirates to Air Arabia and Qatar airline. Against which these companies transferred Rs 272 crore  in the account of Talwar. Not only is it alleged that Praful Patel also gave a dilwa to the private airline, Kinshfisher airline, Jet Airways, go airline, Spice jet and Paramount, for the benefit of Air India in the country.

At the same time, 43 airplane purchased from the airbase are also under question.  The case was registered by the CBI on the orders of the apex Court, after which the ED also registered a case of money laundering and initiated the investigation. ED can also question-answer in the case of Airbus purchases during the investigation.
