Patna: The Ayushman Bharat Scheme, brought into the health sector by the Central Government, completed 3 years on 23rd September 2021. In the same process, a programme was organized on Wednesday on the scheme which provides a guarantee of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in government or private hospitals. On the other hand, Bihar government health minister Mangal Pandey has introduced another new app called Review, the sole objective of which is to get a fixed guarantee of health services.

What is Ayushman Bharat Scheme:- It may be recalled that a scheme called Ayushman Bharat was launched by PM Modi on 23rd September 2018. The scheme aims to provide health insurance schemes to economically weaker sections, especially BPL holders. 5 lakh suo-day health insurance is provided to each household covered under it.

On the other hand, health minister Mangal Pandey has made big claims on the completion of three years of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The Health Department claims that 70 lakh persons have been given Ayushman Card in Bihar so far under the scheme and so far about 300 crores of free treatment have been done to three lakh persons. The same department says that 1 crore 8 lakh families in Bihar, including 1.29 crore from rural areas and more than 8 lakh 65 thousand families from rural areas.
