Due to Coronavirus, all are currently imprisoned in their homes and the film industry is lying stagnant. Many important projects of Bollywood are stuck which were to come. Filmmaker Priyadarshan was also shooting for Hungama 2 before the lockdown. In a recent interview, Priyadarshan has shared many things related to it with a website. Recently, he said that he had also approached Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan for Hungama 2, but no one showed any interest in his project.

Talking to PTI, Priyadarshan said, 'I did not go to meet anyone directly. My concept was narrated to Siddharth Malhotra, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan. Everyone refused to do the film.' Further, Priyadarshan said, 'Now, I am working with Meejan. They all rejected because perhaps they felt that I am a past-time director and I have been away from the Hindi film industry for five years.' Priyadarshan has directed 95 films in his three decades of brilliant film career and includes Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu language films.

Recently, Priyadarshan further said, 'He was not interested in it. I do not like begging for actors and I like working with someone who has faith in me. Many times you request an actor to do a film, then they first respect you, offer coffee and will avoid you with great love because they don't believe in you. Priyadarshan has made many hit films and his hit films in Hindi include films like Virasat, Hera Pheri, Hustle, Hungama, Chhupa Chupke, Bhul Bhulaiyaa. He is bringing the sequel of his film Hungama for which people are desperate.
