After impressing Indian audience, Ayushmann Khurrana,Tabu and Radhika Apte starrer AndhaDhun is wreaking havoc at the Chinese box-office. The crime thriller, on Sunday, added $ 3.78 million more to its account. After a 12-day run in the East Asian country, the film has gone past the coveted Rs 200 crore-mark. Its total collection currently stands at $ 30.06 million, which is equivalent to Rs 208.17 crore in Indian currency. With this development, AndhaDhun has become the fifth highest-grossing Indian film in China behind only Dangal, Secret Superstar, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Hindi Medium.

Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh attributed the success of AndhaDhun to “Power of solid content.” He summed up the business of the film in a tweet posted on Monday. He wrote, “#AndhaDhun crosses $ 30 million / ₹ 200 cr in #China... Biz on [second] Sat and Sun is *higher* than [first] Sat and Sun... [Week 2] Fri $ 2.03 mn, Sat $ 4.45 mn, Sun $ 3.78 mn. AndhaDhun, released in China as Piano Player, was a big hit on its home turf. At the domestic box-office, the film had collected close to Rs 75 crore in its lifetime run. While critics praised the film unanimously, the word of mouth, too, was in its favour.
