Rampur: Two months after being declared a land mafia and registering around 84 cases, SP leader and MP Azam Khan from Rampur Lok Sabha seat reached Rampur for the first time on Monday. Azam Khan attended the nomination ceremony of his wife Tazin Fatima. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has nominated Azam's wife Tajin Fatima as a candidate in the by-election.

However, it will be very interesting to see if Azam Khan appears before the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Significantly, Azam Khan has been sent a notice by SIT to appear in the land possession case. He has to appear before the SIT for investigation today. He did not respond to the notice sent earlier nor did he appear. Let me tell you that on September 13, when the national president of SP and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav reached Rampur, Azam Khan did not come.

Akhilesh Yadav went to Rampur only in support of Azam Khan. But today Azam attended his wife's nomination ceremony. Not only this, but SP workers were also excited to see Azam Khan among themselves. During this time, slogans of Azam Khan Zindabad also started getting elevated. It remains to be seen whether Azam Khan appears badly before the SIT for land acquisition charges for Johar University.
