Farmers' Protest: Baba Ram Singh's last rites in Karnal

Karnal: Sant Baba Ram Singh, who committed suicide on farmers' issues, was cremated today. His postmortem was done at Kalpana Chawla Medical Hospital in Karnal on Wednesday. After the postmortem, the body of Sant Baba Ram Singh was taken to Singra village in the presence of a large number of devotees. Thousands of devotees paid tribute to him with moist eyes.

Representatives of political parties arrived after the martyrdom of Sant Baba Ram Singh. After the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, Haryana State President of Congress Kumari Selja had arrived. While condoling the death of Sant Baba Ram Singh, Kumari Selja said that the government should abandon its ego and understand the suffering of the farmers. Kumari Selja also has a meeting with the state president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), Gurnam Singh Chaudhuri.

Earlier, former MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda also reached Gurudwara Nanaksar Singda. He said during this time that Sant Baba Ram Singh has given his martyrdom in the war of farmers. After such a great martyrdom, the government should accept the farmers' matter and leave their ego and the Modi government should withdraw this law.
