Mumbai: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said on Wednesday that former PM Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi did yoga in secret, but their descendants did not respect it and therefore the power moved away from them because those who do yoga "God directly give them their blessings."

Ramdev has expressed confidence that "major work" will be done on issues like Section 370 and triple talaq under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev will participate in the International Yoga Day event at Nanded in Maharashtra on June 21. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fandavis will also participate in the event. He said Modi is the first PM to go and do yoga among the masses.

He said all the Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, MPs and MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) do yoga. Baba Ramdev has said, "Yoga has gained glory because of this. Earlier, Indiraji and Nehru used to do luke-hidden yoga," Baba Ramdev said, "But the later generations of the Nehru Gandhi family did not respect yoga. That's why he got a little mess edby at Raj Yoga," he said.
