Pune:  A private bus traveling on the Pune-Solapur highway near Kadambagh in the Hadapsar area of Pune city caught fire on Friday, prompting a quick response from the Pune Fire Department. As soon as the fire department was alerted about the incident, a team of officials was dispatched to the scene. The firefighters acted promptly and managed to bring the fire under control before it could cause any casualties. Thanks to their swift action, all passengers on the bus were safely evacuated, and the situation was contained without any injuries or loss of life.

This incident comes on the heels of another significant fire in Maharashtra. On Thursday night, a massive blaze erupted at the historic Keshavrao Bhosale Theatre in Kolhapur. The fire caused extensive damage, destroying property worth several crores of rupees. The theatre, which holds cultural significance in the region, was engulfed in flames that took hours to extinguish. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the incident has resulted in a substantial loss to the community, both in terms of cultural heritage and financial damage.

The two fires, occurring so close in time, have raised concerns about fire safety in public and private spaces in Maharashtra. While the quick response from the fire department in Pune ensured that the bus fire did not result in casualties, the destruction caused by the fire in Kolhapur highlights the need for stringent safety measures and preparedness to prevent such incidents in the future.
