A Bailable arrest warrant has been issued to Babul Supriyo by the Alipore court in Kolkata yesterday. On January 4, a case has been registered against him by Trinamool congress MLA Mahua Moitra. She says that during a debate he has tried to insult her modesty.

The police officer as per the sources news said that “The charge sheet was submitted on Thursday. The court was informed that the minister did not turn up before the investigating officer even after he was summoned thrice,”

He is a singer as well as the politician who is currently a Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
