Indian female footballer Bala Devi is trapped in Glasgow due to Coronavirus epidemic. Recently 30-year-old Bala has tied up with Scottish Women's Premier League club Rangers. She has become the country's first footballer to join a foreign football club. However, the Premier League has postponed all matches till 30 April. The Government of India has placed a ban on international aircraft landing in the country from 22 to 31 March. Due to this, Bala Devi has decided to stay in Glasgow.

She said, "There is no match here and the league has been postponed. It will now start from April 30. Now if I want to return to my country, it is difficult because flights from UK to India have been stopped two days in advance. I will stay here. There is no other way. We are watching the situation."

She further said, "If the league starts from April 30, then I will stay here and play in it. If it gets postponed again, then it has to be seen what to do next. If there is a flight at that time or not, then I will decide accordingly." The Indian team won the gold medal at the South Asian Games last year under Bala's captaincy. She scored 16 goals in five matches.
