Bangalore, India: Liquor sale in the city will be banned on several days during the first week of June due to the Karnataka Legislative Council elections and the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 vote counting.

Bangalore Dry Days Schedule:

June 1 to June 3:
To ensure smooth conduct of the Karnataka Legislative Council elections, liquor sale will be prohibited from 4 pm on June 1 to June 3. The MLC elections polling is scheduled for June 3, and vote counting will take place on June 6.

June 4:
On June 4, due to the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 vote counting, liquor sale will be banned from 12 am on June 3 to 12 am on June 5. On this day, all shops, bars, hotels, restaurants, and taverns will remain closed. However, restaurants and hotels will be allowed to serve food and non-alcoholic beverages.

June 6:
After the announcement of Lok Sabha Elections results, liquor sale will be banned on June 6 due to the MLC elections result announcement after vote counting on the same day.

The frequent liquor bans in Bangalore are expected to affect people who enjoy evenings out, as well as impact liquor sales and the hospitality industry.
