In his statement, Devnath said that Bangladesh has now lifted the ban on import of nine goods from Akhauda and Srimantpur terrestrial ports. The goods whose import ban has been lifted from December 1 are cashew, paper, sugar, generators, broken glass, chocolate, baby wipes, sweets and vitamins.
For your information, let us tell you that on the initiative of the state government, the neighboring country has so far lifted the ban on the import of 16 goods in two phases. There has been a demand to lift the ban on the import of tea, but Bangladesh has not taken any action on it so far. If Bangladesh removes the ban, Tripura will benefit.
