Bank fraud case: Ratul Puri, nephew of CM Kamal Nath sent in 14 days judicial custody

Bhopal: Businessman Ratul Puri has been sent to judicial custody by the court in the bank fraud case. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court, while hearing on Tuesday, ordered the sentencing of Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath's nephew Ratul Puri to be sent to judicial custody till 14 days i.e. 17 September. Both CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are investigating the investigation against Ratul Puri.

The CBI had registered a case against Ratul Puri in connection with the banking scam, while the ED arrested Ratul Puri. Businessman Ratul Puri is the nephew of Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath. Earlier, ED had got custody of Ratul Puri till 3 September. The ED arrested Ratul Puri on August 20 under a money laundering case. The money laundering case came to light when the investigation into the bank loan case started.

Let me tell you that in the Congress government of Madhya Pradesh, the nephew of CM Kamal Nath and then executive director of Moser Baer Ratul Puri are facing charges of money laundering and bank fraud. The case relates to the Central Bank of India electing Rs 354.51 crore, which is currently being investigated by the ED and the CBI.
