Banks are scheduled to remain closed for a total of 21 days in different areas in the month of October. Let me tell you that there are going to be many days in the month of October when banks are not going to open continuously. So it is very important for you today to know when banks will open and when they will remain closed. If you are leaving home for the bank before you check whether the banks will remain open on that day. Let me tell all of you that 2nd October is Gandhi Jayanti due to which banks will not open in different parts of the country. There will be a Sunday holiday on October 3. With this, banks will remain closed on October 6 due to Mahalaya Amavasya in Agartala, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. On the other hand, due to Mahasaptami, Mahaashtami and Dussehra, bank employees will also be emancipated in October. With this, the last holiday for the month of October will be on the 31st.

October 1- The work will be affected due to a semi-annual bank closing account at Gangtok on October 1.

October 2- Bank to remain closed due to Gandhi Jayanti. 

October 3 - Sunday holiday.

October 6 - Banks will remain closed due to Mahalaya Amavasya in Agartala, Bengaluru, Kolkata.

October 7- Banks will not open in Imphal on October 7.

October 9- Saturday will be a holiday.

October 10- Sunday will be a holiday.

October 12- Banks will remain closed due to Mahasaptami.

October 13- Banks closed at Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi due to Mahaashtami.

October 14- Banks will remain closed due to Mahanavami at Agartala, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kolkata, Ranchi, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong, Thiruvananthapuram.

October 15- Banks closed from Agartala, Ahmedabad to Thiruvananthapuram due to Dussehra.

October 16- Durga Puja holiday in Gangtok.

October 17- Sunday will be a holiday

October 18- Bank closed at Kati Bihu in Guwahati.

October 19- Banks will remain closed due to Eid-e-Milad at Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

October 20- Banks in Agartala, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Shimla will remain closed due to Valmiki Jayanti.

October 22- There will be a holiday for bank employees in Jammu and Srinagar.

October 23- Saturday will be a holiday.

October 24- Sunday will be a holiday.

October 26- Banks closed in Jammu and Srinagar due to Parigrahan Day.

October 31- Sunday weekly holiday.
