You may have heard many stories of inmate arrests, but have you heard a case of tree arrest? Today we are going to tell you one such tree that has been arrested and has been chained for many years. It may be surprising to hear, but these trees have been in captivity for 121 years, not a couple of years. It was imprisoned 121 years ago in the British regime.

Strangely, this banyan tree is still punishing. The case was in 1898 when Pakistan used to be part of India. In fact, James Squid, an officer posted at the Lundi Kottal Army Cantonment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, was walking around the park intoxicated with alcohol. Suddenly he thought that the tree was coming towards him attacking. He immediately ordered his soldiers to arrest the tree. The banyan tree was then arrested by the soldiers on suspicion.

Then, when the British officer James came to his senses, he realized his mistake. But he did not open the chains of the tree. He wanted to give people a message from it. James wanted to tell anyone that going against English rule would be the same. You can see that a plank also appears hanging on this tree. This placard is written on 'I am Underarrest'. Also, the whole story is written. But the British moved and India-Pakistan separated, but these trees still remind us of the black law of English Saltanat. This tree reflects the cruelty of Frontier Crime Regulation Law (FCR) during British rule.
