Famous musician Bappi Lahiri, who introduced Bollywood to disco and rock music in the 70s, has passed away. He was 69 years old. He breathed his last in a hospital in Mumbai. According to media reports, Bappi Lahiri died around 11 pm. Bappi Lahiri was also ill for a long time and his treatment was going on at Criti Care Hospital.
Gold tea-set was made on Dhanteras: Bappi Lahiri's love of gold was so much that in the year 2021, on the special occasion of Dhanteras, his wife gifted him a gold tea set. This was done by Bappi Da because he already had many different gold jewellery. Bappi Da had said about this, 'I had asked my wife to bring a golden tea set for me on Dhanteras. I had seen a beautiful tea set somewhere and I really liked it too. This is the reason why he has given me a golden tea set. We consider buying gold on the day of Dhanteras auspicious. We continue this tradition every year.
Bappi also said that he has everything in gold jewellery. That's why he thought it appropriate to take a tea set. He said in an interview that, 'I am proud to be called the Gold Man. Gold is lucky for me. My songs became a hit when I started wearing gold. Bappi Da was known for singing in movies like Disco Dancer, Namak Halal, Himmatwala and Sharabi. Along with this, Bappi Da was also known for re-creating many old songs and songs like Hey Pyaar Kar Le and Ooh La La.
