Lucknow: The body of a woman constable was found under mysterious circumstances in the Cantt police station area of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The woman constable is said to be a resident of Baghpat. The woman's family is alleging murder. They say the woman's husband is posted in the Army. There was a fight between the two for a long time over something. There are several injury marks on the woman's face.  

SSP Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj, who reached the Military Hospital on the information of the incident, has said that prima facie it seems that the woman has been assaulted, but this will be clear only after the post-mortem report comes. Shikha, a resident of Baghpat, was posted as a woman constable in the 2019 batch. The police have sent the body for post-mortem. SSP Anirudh Pankaj said that after receiving a complaint from the woman's family, a case will be registered and advance action will be taken.  

The SSP said that looking at the spot, it seems that there was a fight going on between the husband and wife. The possibility of a fight between the two cannot be ruled out over the information given by the woman's family. In view of all these circumstances, we are investigating. Action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report. At the same time, the woman's family says that there was a lot of injury on the face.
