Between lockdown and corona crisis, electric two-wheeler manufacturer BattRE Electric Mobility has recently launched its new electric scooter 'GPSie' in the Indian market. The company has priced it at Rs 64,990 (ex-showroom). The scooter looks like every other electric vehicle imported from China, but the brand offers additional features to offer features associated with the collaboration of California-based firm Aeris Communications.

BattRE GPSie is available in three color options - Red, White and Blue and you can book it through Amazon. The biggest party piece of this scooter is the connected features that include GPS tracking, geo-fencing, secure park and remote immobilization, device management, trip reports and driver behavior reports. Additional features include device status alert, crash alert and speeding alert. All these features run in sync through a smartphone that comes with a dedicated app. The company is offering the first year subscription in it. After this, the customer will have to pay 1200 rupees annually to take this subscription.

The company has given LED headlamps, USB charger, keyless ignition, reverse mode regenerative braking and a 220mm disc brake at the front. The GPSie offers telescopic forks at the front and a twin shock absorber setup at the rear. This electric scooter features a 250W BLDC hub motor that supplies power to the rear wheel. Its top speed is 25 kmph. The company has given 48V / 24Ah Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery in it, which takes 2.5 hours to be fully charged and gives a range of up to 65 kilometers on a single charge. Same, BattRE Electric Mobility's dealer network is available in many states like Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. The company will open many more dealerships in the future.
