The long time no-no has turned into a short yes. The Board of Control of Cricket in India has finally said yes to the Decision review system for the Umpires in the upcoming England Vs. India test series which will commence form 9th November 2016. India is going to host this series right after the ODI matches with New Zealand are over.

“The BCCI will deploy the DRS, in toto, in the coming series between India and England starting from the 9th of Nov 2016, on a trial basis to evaluate the improvements made to the system, over a period of time,” the Board said in a statement.

The last series that India played using the DRS technology was in 2008 against Sri Lanka.

The change of the decision occurred due the openness of Coach Kumble and Test Captain Kohli for try it out as an experiment.
