Lucknow: A case of befriending a young woman and making her obscene video viral has come to light in the Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. The married woman found it costly to befriend a west Bengal youth on Instagram. When the married woman refused to talk and marry, the young man took off her obscene video. The video was posted by the youth on social media. Along with this, he also sent the video to the married woman's husband. Kotwali police have registered a case against the accused youth on the complaint of the victim.
The woman, a resident of a village adjacent to Sikarour in the Majhwara area of Mau, was married in Atraulia area of Azamgarh. The married woman became friends with a young man from Nalanda in Bengal on Instagram. Befriending and talking to an unknown young man became a concern for her. The victim told the police that she had befriended Ashok, son of Manish Kumar, a resident of Khidarchak Sohasrao in Nalanda. After which the closeness between the two started increasing.
A few days later, the married woman refused to talk to the young man. After which the young man started pressurizing for marriage and threatened to kill her. The victim alleged that the youth hacked her Instagram ID and email ID and made her obscene videos and pictures and made them viral on social media, even sent them to her family members. On the complaint of the married woman, Kotwali police have registered a case against the accused youth under many serious sections including IT Act.
