Kolkata: The BJP has made a big promise to the people in the midst of the ongoing assembly elections in West Bengal. The Bengal BJP says that after forming the government in the state, all will be vaccinated against corona vaccine free of cost. In Bengal, two phases of elections are yet to be held and voting has been held for six rounds. Meanwhile, this information was given by the BJP.

The Trinamool Congress has made a similar announcement before the BJP. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had announced at a rally on Thursday that her government will get free vaccines for all people above the age of 18 years from May 5. In Bengal, elections are being held in a total of 8 phases, so far 6 phases of voting have been held. Two phases are yet to be held for which voting is scheduled on April 26, 29. The results of the elections will be out in the state on May 2.

In Bengal, there has been a sudden rise in corona cases in the middle of elections. More than 11,000 corona cases were registered in the state last day as well. Bengal currently has more than 68,000 active cases, while the total number of cases has reached 7 lakh. Due to the growing threat of coronavirus in the state, the Election Commission has not allowed any roadshow for the next two phases. All political parties have been asked to campaign virtually. PM Narendra Modi, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will address her meetings virtually on Friday.
