Govt releases Rs 53 crore, 5,000 assistance for construction workers

New Delhi: Corona has had a massive impact on every region of the country. A total of 2,10,684 construction workers will be provided with this amount by the Government. 52 in bank accounts of 1,05,750 workers so far by the Government. 88 crores have been provided and the remaining amount will also be sent to all in the near future.

The same Delhi Government claims that food distribution centres have also been set up at several schools and construction sites in all cities of Delhi to meet the other requirements of migrants, daily wages and construction workers. About 7000 food packets have been distributed to these food distribution centres till Thursday evening.

A statement issued by the Delhi government said that in the next 2-3 days, a helpline is being set up for construction workers where any construction worker who is registered with the Board or not will be given adequate information about food distribution centres, bed availability, medicines and any other problem. The Delhi government said it is always ready to help migrants, daily wage and construction workers in times of corona threat. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also urged workers and migrants not to leave Delhi as the Delhi government is ensuring all help for them.
