Kolkata: In West Bengal, 4 phases of elections have been held and campaigning is in full swing for the fifth phase. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has taken a tough stand on the controversial statements. The Election Commission has imposed a 48-hour ban on BJP leader Rahul Sinha after a 24-hour ban on CM Mamata Banerjee. Rahul Sinha will not be able to campaign for the next 48 hours.

In fact, BJP leader Rahul Sinha, while addressing a rally, had said, '4, not 8 people should have been killed in Sitalkuchi. Central forces should send show cause notice as to why they killed only 4? They should have killed 8 people. The dolls here want to take away the democratic rights of the people. The central forces replied correctly. If that happens again, they'll answer it.'

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rahul Sinha had said, "An 18-year-old boy was shot dead at the polling station. He was a supporter of the BJP and his (shooters) leader is Mamata Banerjee.'' Rahul Sinha had said that if the central forces felt right, they would kill more than four people to prevent the rigging attempt.
