Kolkata: After more than two months of the corona lockdown in the country, now the government is going to open the lockdown in a phased manner. During Unlock-1 from 1 June, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given permission to resume many activities that were closed. Meanwhile, during a press conference on behalf of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, the Bengal Imam Association has disagreed with the announcement of opening all religious places from June 1.

Mohammed Yahya, the head of the Bengal Imam Association, said, "During a press conference, CM Madam said that all the shrines would be opened from 1 June. We do not have a detailed explanation in this regard, so we are unable to take any clear decision on this. " Mohammad Yahya said, "We suggest that the situation is terrible now, so in this situation we should continue the Namaz as we are doing now. We appeal to the Masjid Committee and Imam not to open the mosque doors immediately. If the mosque does not open for a month, there will be no loss. ”

West Bengal's Mamata government on Saturday extended the lockdown period to June 15, giving more leeway in the state and with some conditions. Internal and external activities related to TV and film production have been allowed from June 1, but no more than 35 people will be allowed in the unit working at the same time. However, the ban on the production of realty shows will continue.
