New Delhi: Coronavirus infection is increasing rapidly in the country these days. Even after this, the economy of Delhi has been affected due to the lockdown for two consecutive months. The Arvind Kejriwal government says that the government treasury is empty. That is why Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said on Sunday that the state government did not have the funds to pay salaries to employees. According to HT report, Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi government has to pay Rs 3500 crore as salary every month, but the government has only Rs 1725 crore. Therefore, he has written a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman demanding Rs 5000 crore from the central government.

After more than two months in the capital of the country, normal functioning is likely to be restored as the Center has accepted most of the recommendations of the Delhi government for the removal of lockdown. Sources have given information in this regard on Saturday. On giving information, a Delhi government source said, "Practically all the recommendations of the Delhi government are included in the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, which means that normal activities will start in the city in the next few days."
