Kolkata: A bomb exploded in a public toilet in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Monday( June 5). An 11-year-old boy was killed in the blast. The minor, a resident of Subhaspalli, had gone to a public toilet near Rail Gate-1 in Bangaon area. At the same time, there was an explosion. The minor, who was seriously injured in the blast, was immediately rushed to a local hospital. The doctors there declared him dead.
The bomb appeared to have exploded in a public toilet in Baxipalli area, the official said. Locals expressed grief over the incident and demanded the arrest of those allegedly planting bombs in public toilets. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far. The police is investigating the whole matter. Let me tell you that the BJP is constantly attacking the Mamata government over the bomb blasts happening in West Bengal. In fact, the situation in Bengal is that even children playing in the field find bombs lying, which they pick up as a ball and their lives are threatened. Somewhere, bombs are found in the houses, due to which the family members die.
Earlier on May 23, 2023, BJP leader and MLA Suvendu Adhikari had lashed out at the Mamata government over the blasts taking place in the state. He had said that the situation in West Bengal is getting worse than Ukraine. There are not as many blasts in Ukraine as there are in Bengal. Right now Russia is maintaining peace, but there are continuous explosions in Bengal. Let me tell you, recently there was a blast in the house of a local leader of the ruling party TMC in Birbhum district of West Bengal. Earlier, there were incidents in South 24 Parganas district, in which three people of a family lost their lives. On May 16, two back-to-back blasts were followed by a major explosion that killed 12 people in Purba Medinipur district. The blast was reported to have taken place in a firecracker factory, in which bombs were being made illegally. It was told that this factory also belongs to a TMC leader.
