Young and talented Bangali actor John Bhattacharyya, who received critical acclaim for his role in the film 'Golondaj,' has returned to television. The dashing actor has lately joined the cast of the popular TV programme 'Mithai,' which has been ruling the TRP rankings for a long time. Omi Agarwal, John's character, is a gourmet chef whose family owns a restaurant. Omi's persona, interestingly, has grey undertones.
According to the plot, Modak Sweets and Agarwal Sweets are both profitable enterprises that compete in a healthy way. Omi's father has a cordial relationship with the proprietors of their competitor firm, but Omi has a different viewpoint. He takes competition seriously, swearing that he will overcome Modak Sweets at any costs.
Omi and his plans will surely add new twists to the plot in the following episodes. The actor is excited to be a part of the programme, which is led by Adrit Roy and Soumitrisha Kundoo.
John hasn't had much of a bad part in Bengali cinema. Prior to this, the passionate dancer and actress starred with Idhika Paul in the film 'Rimli.' The show, which had huge expectations even before it premiered, only lasted a few episodes on Bengali television and ended abruptly. The crowd, on the other hand, complimented John's performance and chemistry with his starring lady in the show.
Let us tell you that John, who rose to fame with ‘Bojhena Se Bojhena’ at a young age, played lead roles in Supernatural drama ‘Nazar’, too.
