The month of October has proved extremely lucky for the auto sector this year. Maruti's car sales were up 4.5 percent. Sales of Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai cars rose by seven to ten percent between Navratri and Dussehra this year. Both car companies saw a very good jump in sales.

Dzire reached the top- Compact sedan Dzire has topped the country's highest-selling cars. The Dzire sold the highest number of 19,569 cars last month. Maruti's highest number of vehicles was included in the top 10 list. Maruti Suzuki had eight cars in this list,

Outside the Creta Top-10- only i20 of Hyundai was able to take place in this list. At the moment Creta dropped out of the top-10. Maruti Alto sales were at number one till June-July this year. Alto has sold 17,903 units. Apart from this, 10,634 units of the entry-level mini SUV known as S-Presso have been sold.

The Baleno retains its grip- where Maruti's premium hatchback car, the Baleno, retained its place. The same reached the fourth position in the Baleno list by June-July, on the other hand, Baleno sales have increased in October and during this period 16,237 cars were sold. Hyundai i20 had 14,683 units sold in October.

Kio-Fifth-largest company- The most interesting entry in this list was Kia Celtos. Kio Motors has become the fifth-largest company in the country by selling only one SUV. It can be compared that the number of booking Celtos has crossed 60 thousand. Celtos sold 12,854 units in October.
