New Delhi: Haryana is counted among those states where the sex ratio is the worst. But Haryana has brought a lot of improvement in this matter after the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign started. As a result, the state has gone ahead in this campaign.

For this, it has been ranked in the best state category at the National Awards for his outstanding performance in sex ratio. Among the other five states honored in this, Haryana has topped the girls' population by increasing the number of girls.

Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Rajasthan received honors in this category. Due to the efforts of the Center and the state in one year, the population of 931 females per one thousand males across the country has increased at birth. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani was distributing these awards at a function held at the Ashoka Hotel in Delhi. Last year, Uttar Pradesh, which took the counting award only at the district level, not only received the award in the best state category in one year. The districts of UP also raised their heads in the ceremony.

On this occasion, the minister of the UP government announced that the goal of the government is not only to teach the daughter from birth but also to help her till she becomes self-supporting. For this, the state is working on a plan to fully monitor the daughters.

National awards of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Campaign were given in two categories. In this, six states and nine districts were awarded for improving the sex ratio and 10 districts for raising awareness for improving birth rate.
