Popular show 'Hum Paanch' is airing again on the small screen after 25 years. In this connection, Dainik Bhaskar spoke to actress Bhairavi Raichura who played Kajal Bhai in the show. She said when I got the news of its re-run and it immediately took me to memory lane. I must say that we five gave me my identity and I share the best memories with the cast of that show. At the same time it is quite exciting, I will see it everyday on the channel. At the same time, I still fail to understand how and why Ekta chose me for that role. I still remember when I first met him, I was very confused.

At the same time, he told me how he wanted a beautiful, timid looking girl to show the attitude of Tom Boy. The demand for the character was quite challenging. I was completely clueless, but the crew members helped me a lot to understand the character, taught me how to walk, talk or conduct myself to get into the role. That's where I come from a very middle class family, so this (fame) was very strange for my parents, my younger sister and my close friends. I never let stardom enter my house. They were all very supportive and my family was very proud of me for which I am very grateful.

With this I remember that earlier we did not have a cable connection, after much persuasion, they took the cable connection only so that they could see us five. Thank you or not. I was doing a few shows on a channel at the same time and the show featured characters who were different from Kajal. At the moment, when I was playing the character of Kajal Bhai, I often missed feeling dressed like my other co-stars. At the same time, his opposite took me only 5 minutes to come into my character and often I used to come to the set wearing my clothes from home. At times, I have longed to look like a girl. But then, I remember how much importance my character added to the show.
