Bikaner: Actor Suniel Shetty played the role of Bhairo Singh in the film 'Border' on the India-Pakistan 1971 war by noted writer and producer-director JP Datta. In that film, the role of Lance Naik Bhairo Singh was shown to be a martyr, but in real life, the 'hero' of that time Bhairo Singh is still alive and will come to Bikaner on 11 December along with his family.

While giving information, Border Security Force (BSF) DIG Pushpendra Singh Rathore said that BSF is celebrating Victory Day for the first time and in this order, 21 brave soldiers including Bhairo Singh, who were involved in India's victory in the war with Pakistan, will be felicitated on behalf of BSF at the Bikaner Sector headquarters. He said that in the year 1971, he was stationed in the battalion at Longewala post in Jaisalmer and by giving a better introduction of his valour, he played a role in forcing surrender while defeating Pakistanis.

He told that in the world of Bollywood glamour, Bhairo Singh's role has been described as a martyr, but in reality, he still has a strong passion for the country and he is feeling healthy. BSF DIG Rathore said that along with honouring him, his family will be taken to a border post, Sanchu.
