Everybody knows how hooliganism runs in the village. When a woman is employed in the village, from being a sarpanch to many other things, she has to protect herself. Today the story of those whom we are going to tell you is really touching. The name of whom we are talking about is Bhakti Sharma. In the year 2015-16, Bhakti got her nomination in the election at the behest of her father and local people, and after that she won by double votes. If Bhakti is called a role model, then it will not be wrong because her work is quite commendable. She was doing a good job in the US city of Texas, but she quit that job and then changed the entire picture of her village as a village head. Presently, she is the sarpanch of a gram panchayat in Madhya Pradesh. There is a special thing that she always keeps a pistol with her. There is a lot of special work in her village, and a sarpanch scheme also runs. The farmer gets compensation and every man has a bank account and with this the soil card of every farm.

Bhakti Sharma has done MA in Political Science and she is currently advocating. 20 km from Bhopal district headquarters is Barkhedi Abdullah Gram Panchayat and Bhakti Sharma, the sarpanch of this panchayat drives a tractor, holds a pistol, and fills the streets with her car. She also talks to any officer for her best behavior. There are a total of 2700 population in her panchayat, of which 1009 are voters. ODF has been installed in this panchayat from Adarsh Anganwadi to solar street lights in every street. As soon as she became a sarpanch, the first task was to take 10 saplings in the village on the birth of every daughter and take a decision to give her mother her two months' salary. 12 daughters were born in their village in the first year, mother was able to take care of her well, so Bhakti started her sarpanch salary in the name of 'Sarpanch Mandeya'.

Recently, Bhakti said, "Our first such Gram Panchayat was formed where every farmer got his compensation. Made ration card, bank account, soil health card of every villager. At this time, no child of the panchayat is malnourished. Two to three times a month a free health camp is organized.” She also said, “ In the first year, 113 people started getting pension, at this time no child of the panchayat is malnourished. Two to three times a month, a free health camp is organized, so that every person of the panchayat will be healthy."

Bhakti does not do any work of village panchayat on its own. In the year 2016-17, 10-gram sabhas have been held, and the Panchas meet separately from time to time. When Bhakti become sarpanch, there were only nine toilets in this panchayat, but now the panchayat ODF means open defecation. Bhakti said, "We have not done any work separately in the Panchayat, only have implemented the government schemes properly. Whatever you determine in a Panch meeting is the same thing. We have not been able to get a lot of development in two and a half years because when we became the pradhan, the roads of the village were not paved at that time, so they did necessary work first. ”

Bhakti also says, "Digital classes will start in this building in the next six months, which will run completely by solar. It will have a sewing center for women and a spinning center. There will be meetings from time to time for farmers so that they can learn modern methods of farming. There will be all kinds of activities for children so that they can get city-like facilities in the village. ” Bhakti has made its place in the hearts of millions of people with her work, her success story has different importance and inspires everyone. Bhakti is still in the same effort that every woman of the panchayat can fearlessly leave her panchayat at 12 in the night.

Bhakti said, “I started from the first meeting, that women should be more involved in every meeting of the panchayat. The Mid-day Meal Committee has eight women. The participation of women should be more and more in the works of Panchayat so that their information will increase and they feel empowered. ” According to her, "Those who have 10-12 acres of land, it is our endeavor that every farmer must do organic farming in at least one acre. Not in large numbers, but farmers have started doing organic farming. "
