Bharti Singh, a comedian, and TV personality, spoke about her mother Kamla Singh, who despite pressure from her peers and family raised her to be self-reliant.

The strong, self-assured, and independent woman I am today is all thanks to my single mother, Bharti said.

Bharti, who took part in a few reality shows including "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5," "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge," and "Comedy Circus," as well as hosted several reality series including "India's Got Talent 5," "India's Got Talent 6," "Hum Tum Aur Quarantine," and "Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan," reflected on being chosen for her first show and then relocating to Mumbai with her mother.

Bharti, who is currently hosting the singing reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs," became emotional and opened about her mother after hearing the story of Granthik's mother, a 12-year-old boy who shared about her struggle to raise him without the help of her father.

"We had to relocate to Mumbai when I was chosen for my first show. Many of my relatives questioned my mother, but she never gave up and always helped me in any way she could. I now represent that single mother's future "Added she.
