Meanwhile, after a function to mark the death anniversary of Rani Lakshmibai at the PPP office, Congressmen demanded that the city of Gwalior be renamed as Rani Laxmibai Nagar.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders have also come out in support when congress leaders are demanding renaming of Gwalior. The BJP leader we are talking about is KP Yadav who has supported the renaming of Gwalior. In fact, KP Yadav says, "It is good that gwalior city is named after Rani Lakshmibai and it will honour the immortal martyrs". At the same time, KP, who came to pay homage at the samadhi of Veerangana Lakshmibai on sacrifice day, said, "Every patriot should come here".
