NEW YORK: The US President Joe Biden reportedly indicated on Thursday that he believes Russia will attack Ukraine in the coming days. He noted that Russia has increased its force presence along the border.
When asked if Russia will go forward with the invasion, Biden replied, "Yes, I do," adding, "My guess is it will happen within the next several days." According to the report, he stated that the threat of a Russian invasion is "very high."
"First, we have reason to believe that they are launching a false flag operation to gain an excuse to invade. Secondly, we have reason to believe that they are launching a false flag operation to gain an excuse to invade. Every information we have indicates that they are preparing to enter Ukraine, assault Ukraine, and destabilise the country "said the US President.
Earlier on Wednesday, Biden administration official said that Russia has moved up to 7,000 troops to its border with Ukraine, calling Moscow's claims that it was withdrawing forces "fake." The revelation from the Biden administration directly contradicted Russia's recent comments that it had withdrawn some forces and is eager to engage in diplomacy, according to the report. Biden has stated that he will not be calling Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Saturday, the two spoke for the last time.
