US President Joe Biden has extended greetings to the global Muslim community as they observe the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized the United States' commitment to working tirelessly for a six-week ceasefire in Gaza, aiming to secure the release of hostages.

Biden reiterated the US's dedication to achieving immediate and sustained peace in the region, which includes ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Gaza promptly. The President announced military efforts to establish a temporary pier for aid shipments and ongoing coordination with international partners for air drops and land deliveries.

Expressing solidarity with Palestinians affected by the conflict, Biden acknowledged the immense suffering endured by thousands, including civilians and children. He highlighted the urgent need for assistance, with millions displaced and facing shortages of essential supplies.

In light of Ramadan, Biden condemned the rise of Islamophobia in the US, reaffirming the nation's commitment to religious freedom and immigrant communities' contributions. He pledged to combat discrimination with the development of a National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia and Related Forms of Bias and Discrimination.

Addressing Muslim Americans, Biden emphasized their integral role in American society and offered condolences to those mourning loved ones amid the ongoing conflict. He concluded with wishes for a safe, healthy, and blessed Ramadan.
