New Delhi: The Union Labour Ministry on Sunday made a major announcement for crores of Indian workers. Employees who come under EPFO and ESIC will be given some additional facilities in view of corona crisis. These facilities will be provided under social security. Pension will also be given to the dependents of employees who are covered under The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).

If an esic-based worker dies due to corona infection, pension will be given to his dependent. The assured of the company in which the employee is associated with employee deposit linked insurance scheme under EPFO has been increased from Rs. The order was issued by the Labour Ministry on Sunday. In view of the corona crisis, it is said to be a big relief for the personnel.

The Labour Ministry has announced several additional facilities in view of the atmosphere of concern and fear of the workers due to corona epidemic, the Labour Ministry wrote in a statement. These facilities will be provided under ESIC and EPFO. These steps have been taken to take care of the families and members of the personnel in case of death due to corona. The Ministry has clarified that the personnel will not have to pay separate fees for any additional facilities available.
