New Delhi: The Air Force has released the details on its portal for the recruitment of Agniveers in the Agnipath scheme. According to this detail, due to the 4-year service, many facilities will be given by the Air Force of the Agniveers, which will be according to the facilities available to the permanent airmen. As per the information uploaded on the Air Force portal, Agniveers will also get hardship allowance, uniform allowance, canteen facility and medical facilities along with salary. These facilities are available to a regular soldier.

The Agniveers will also get a travel allowance due to the service period. In addition, they will get 30 days off a year. The system of medical leave for them is different. Agniveers will also get the facility of CSD canteen. If unfortunately, if an Agniveers dies during service (4 years), his family will get insurance cover. Under this, his family will get about Rs 1 crore.  

The Air Force has said that their recruitment in the Air Force will be for a period of four years under the Air Force Act, 1950. There will be a separate rank of Agniveers in the Air Force which will be different from the existing rank. The Agniveers will have to accept all the conditions of the Agnipath scheme. Agniveers who are below the age of 18 years at the time of their appointment to the Air Force will have to get their parents or guardians to sign their appointment letter. After 4 years of service, 25 per cent of the firemen will be taken into the regular cadre. These 25 per cent Agniveers will be appointed on the basis of their service performance during the service period. According to the Air Force, Agniveer will be entitled to the honour and award. The Agniveers will be given honours and awards as per the air force guidelines. After being recruited in the Air Force, Agniveers will be trained according to the requirements of the army.
