Washington: The American newspaper News Week has made a big disclosure about the bloody struggle in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh. In one of its articles, Newsweek has said that more than 60 Chinese soldiers were killed in violent clashes on 15 June. It has been reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping's decision was behind the aggressive activity in Indian territory, but his People's Liberation Army (PLA) failed.

The article states that the failure of the PLA on the Indian border will have far-reaching consequences. The Chinese military had initially told Jinping to focus on driving out opponents and recruiting loyalists. Apparently, the result of this will be that some big officers will also suffer. The biggest thing here is that due to this failure, Chinese President Xi Jinping will be excited to take another aggressive step against India. It is worth mentioning that Jinping is also the head of the Central Military Commission of the party and the leader of the PLA.

In early May, Chinese forces advanced south of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), a temporary border between two of Asia's largest countries, in three different areas in Ladakh. The boundary is not fixed here and hence the PLA continues to penetrate into the outskirts of India. Infiltration here has increased ever since Xi Jinping took over as party general secretary in 2012.
