Srinagar: A suspicious bag was recovered in the Satwari Chowk area of Jammu city on Saturday. The bag was found near Satwari Chowk Naka. A police team is investigating the case. With this, an explosive device has been damaged in the Kishtwar district of the division. Which has been deactivated.

An explosive device was detected by an Army 26-RR (Rashtriya Rifles) and a police team on Keshavan Road near Kuria Bridge in the district. Which was reported to the bomb disposal squad. Security forces have foiled a terrorist plot by neutralizing the explosive device. Meanwhile, four suspects are seen driving in a car on the Jammu-Rajori highway. A massive operation is being carried out in search of the suspects.

Meanwhile, security agencies across the state have made elaborate security arrangements for independence day. An alert has been sounded in Jammu city. Army and BSF have also been alerted along the border. Dog squad has been deployed with additional patrolling. Nakas have been set up in the city. The police are keeping an eye on every corner. All chowki officers, police stations, DSPs have been asked to patrol their respective areas at night.
